Activated carbon is carbon that has a porous structure and a large internal surface (1050 m2/g). It can adsorb a wide range of substances, including odors .

It can therefore be used as a replacement filling for odor filters . Its shape is in the form of rollers with a diameter of approx. 3-4 mm. The lifetime of activated carbon is approximately 18-24 months.

Calculation to choose a suitable filter: we calculate the volume of air in the room, where we multiply the length of the room (m) by the width of the room (m) and the height of the ceiling (m). E.g.: A room with a length of 4 m, a width of 3 m and a ceiling height of 2 m => 4 x 3 x 2 = 24 m3 We multiply the resulting air volume by the number 60 (i.e. the number of minutes per hour), thereby finding out how much air is needed per 1 hour to clear. We will compare the result with the maximum performance of the selected filter. If its maximum output is higher than our result, the filter is sufficient for the given space.
